Your marathon participation could help the Indian army

We’re almost halfway done through the second month of the year which means by now you’ve pulled up your socks, constantly paced the distance, held your sweatbands uptight and made yourself proud. In case you’re wondering what am I talking about, I’m speaking of the ongoing marathon season which is all about winners, because hey when you reach the finish line how is anyone a loser here?

If you’re already up there on the front looking for the next marathon to participate in, I’ve got the perfect news for you, or if you haven’t all been able to make it to a marathon this year so far, it’s even better for you to learn about an upcoming marathon called Mumbai Daud- Run For Army.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Borivli, Mumbai Daud in its fourth edition will be held on 26th Feb, 2016 in support of the Indian Armed Forces. The funds generated from the run will be donated towards the betterment of Indian soldiers.  Isn’t that brilliant? Your marathon participation could help the Indian soldiers, a deed done right for the body and soul 🙂

If you’re new to the marathon culture ad apprehensive of running a vast distance, the worry bubble has to vanish right away because unlike seemingly difficult marathons, Mumbai Daud has varied categories. You can participate in any of the following runs:

2 Km Run/Walk (Age Group 0-13) for INR 300

5 Km Dream Run/Walk (Age Group 13+) for  INR 600

10 Km (Age Group 16+) for INR 800

Now that you’ve decided which race are you gonna pace, grab a note of the important details:

When:  Sunday, 26th February, 2017, 6 am onwards

Where: Sailee College Ground, MHB Colony, Borivli West
