At the end of the day, as I write this post, I’m rummaging a gazillion thoughts in my head. The day began about fine until I found myself at the receiving end of robotic expectations in almost every sphere of human life. (Maybe not every sphere, but quite a few for me to make a hyperbolic statement as this one)
Not like the day was a first of its kind experience, I’ve lived through days that have been worse but the rather long day immediately brought in a lot of perspective and most importantly explained the popularity of #MondayMotivation.
After 48 hours and 24 hours(for some) of being in a bubble of thoughts and own sweet time, you’re back to facing the real world filled with some pleasant and not so pleasant people, some realistic but exhausting deadlines and some not so realistic and mind flaring deadlines.
Is Monday a bad day every time? No, one can’t say that. But are Mondays difficult? That would receive a nod!
If I was to pick a sample of people (Which I have already) and ask them which is the toughest day for them? The answer would be the obvious M word. Monday or Mundane as some would like to call it.
Other than the fact that Mondays expect you to bounce back to reality and champion the cause of saying hello to robotic expectations; it is a victory as you survive the day and make it to the end of it.
What’s the big deal about surviving Mondaze? Other than winning over the day, you’ve found the courage to take the steps, for starters to get out of your bed not only because you ‘don’t have a choice’ but because you know you need to fulfill your goals; both long term and short term.
To accept that a whole week of real time work, trouble and opportunities await you; how you see it is subjective but acceptance and making peace with the situation is step two that you’ve survived.
To proceed with the day and face other humans, expectations, ideas and nail it.
To yawning amidst meetings, calls, plans and deadlines but somehow making it.
To finally make it to the end of the day and surviving a Monday!
P.S: If you’ve found the will to participate in a week ahead of you and made peace with it, you must know that life is all about a series of Monday.
