Soul Talk: Don’t Repent Your Sunday

Soul Talk: Don't Repent Your Sunday

So it’s Sunday, a favourite day to most people unless you work in the entertainment industry which means a regular working day. But for most, Sunday is an off.

Given it’s one sure shot holiday, it could mean a lot of things. You may want to finish personal work like paying bills or clearing your wardrobe mess, basically things you haven’t been able to do through your busy week.

On the other side, Sunday could also mean dressing your best and going out for a dinner or drink and meeting friends. Or if you’re like me, you prefer staying in your comfortable clothes with absolutely no makeup to spend some time with your family and perhaps step out for a while to catch a movie or girlfriends date.

But has it ever happened to you that you planned your Sunday a certain way and it took the opposite direction? You may have planned a day out and for all you know is uninvited guests show up!

It could again be the other way round, you may have planned a slumber fest but you learn there’s no way out of a family gathering.

These things could get annoying most often when our Sunday doesn’t work out in the direction we hoped, we find ourselves facing the pre-Monday blues by the evening.

To make matters worse, it sucks to see people posting their #SundayDoneRight pictures on social media. We’re bound to feel worse about not having the perfect Sunday because the internet created a major space for #FOMO in our minds.

But instead, let’s try to take a step back and ensure that we don’t repent our Sunday! Because how is it gonna help? If Sunday is an off day for our bodies to rest, it is so for our minds to take a break as well. All through the week, we often find ourselves overworking, so it’s only fair we don’t flustered over an imperfect Sunday.

P.S: If your Sunday doesn’t turn out ideal, remember that it’s okay and don’t repent it πŸ™‚ Until next time, #StayCurious

I’ve pledged to participate in a month long blogging challenge for November and this is my day 6 post for #NaBloPoMo
