Life Hack To Good Health While Travelling

Life Hack To Good Health While Travelling

Over 3 years ago, I decided to quit my full-time job to pursue my passion for content and travel. This led to the best of both worlds for me, opening up a new career avenue, travel blogging. While the job is a blessing in every way, everything clearly has its set of pros and cons, right?

This fun and #Instagrammable life can get hectic too, taking a toll on health. Because the routine of this job is that there isn’t one!

Ensuring that content deadlines are met, while surreal sunsets are chased, mountains have been trekked, and unique most experiences are shared for the curious community; sleeping, eating patterns, and life discipline at large tend to take a back seat.

So how do I ensure that good health is in check while this erratic schedule keeps rolling? Read on my life hack to healthy living while travelling.

-Brisk Walk and Open-Air Workouts: Although travelling does allow me to constantly embrace some fresh air, there’s nothing quite like an open-air workout or brisk walk dedicated to health watch every day for an hour.

-Supplements: There’s often a misconception that supplements are meant for bad health days. Whereas, they’re to be included in our routine to prevent any bad health days at all. One of my must-pack things in the medical kit has been supplements, capsules that offer the goodness of vitamins and primarily help to tackle Vitamin E deficiency in case of any. Through my cheat days, some frantic diet days, and everything in between, supplements have been my companion.

-Digital Detox: As a part of my job, being online is almost second nature thereby creating a permanent relationship with the virtual world. But come what may, I indulge in a digital detox once in every ten days. This is when I catch up on some old-fashioned reading, meet up with friends, or merely choose to practice some yoga and downtime.

-Balanced Meals: While enjoying the most scrumptious cuisines overlooking breath-taking views, I ensure that my diet contains a fair share of proteins, fibre, and primarily Vitamin E, as it is an integral parameter helping in one’s health.

Why is Vitamin E important you ask?

While the benefits are endless, I’m going to list some key roles played by Vitamin E that go a long way.

Repairs Damaged Skin: The current state of pollution in the environment is sometimes not favourable for skin, and definitely isn’t if you’re a traveller like me on the receiving end of harsh sunny days, dust, and uncomfortable weather. Vitamin E is known to moisture skin, creating an elasticity acting as an anti-ageing nutrient!

What are the sources of Vitamin E?

Some of the dietary sources of Vitamin E include fruits and vegetables like pumpkin, sweet potato, spinach, collards, asparagus, mango, kiwi, raspberry. Other sources like Soya bean, vegetable, nut oilseeds, eggs, and fish are rich in Vitamin E too.

However, the consumption of multiple sources to meet the body’s full requirement isn’t always feasible. In this regard, including a supplement is more practical on a doctor’s recommendation.

P.S: My life hack to good health while travelling has been a balance of workout, good diet, and supplements. Do you have any particular life hack? Let me know in the comments section below. Until next time, #StayCurious 😊

Supplements like Vitamin E are a must and we also prefer fruit and vegetable-rich diets. Also, a 45 minute light workout every day is how we balance our health and fitness.

  14. Staying healthy while traveling is really important as no one would like their travel experience to be soured. One of the things that we are very particular about while traveling is our food. We curb the tendency to overeat and eat judiciously and also ensure at the least a basic exercise regime.
