When we decided to take you on a road trip near Mumbai with us, Nasik became our first choice. Our idea and intent was the same as always: Take the curious nomad in you to a newer experience and thus we discovered Beze Anantha, a stone house which offered us a countryside staycation experience like never before and we came back with a tale to tell and a lot of pictures to share (The view this farm house offers is what #NoFilter means.)
Having looked up the pictures of this beautiful property located at over 170 kms away from Mumbai, we were pretty excited to explore and embrace a rustic experience ahead of us. Beze, a village located on the outskirts of Trimbakeshwar in Nasik, houses this getaway home in the middle of a luscious farm and lake.
Given that it was our first time to this village in Maharastra, we were surprised to have discovered a simpler life not so far away from the developed city in Nasik. Our journey enroute featured farms, greens, mountains and most importantly curious faces gasping at the sight of a car. (We got a little lost on our way and thus ended up taking a detour; stumbling upon the locals who led simple lives and helping hands, allowing us to find our way to the destination.)
Even before we exactly stepped in, the breeze welcomed us at Beze Anantha. The common area of the villa is open from both the ends, more so to the one facing the lake and beautiful trees (Which explains the unadulterated hug the nature extends. We recommend carrying a jacket or wools because once the sun goes down, the evening chills get real.)
A 2BHK home with one room led by a staircase on the top, one next to the common area and a living room right opposite to the same offers ample of space to accommodate a group of up to 8-10 people. The stone house, as the name explains is built and embellished with stone walls on the outside, modern amenities and lights on the inside.
The gable roof, dim lights and a breathtaking view from the glass windows of each room bring the European countryside home experience alive. (Barring a fireplace, which was missing due to safety reasons.)
Allowing you to enjoy the stunning view closely, the property has a bench embedded outside, overlooking the greenery and the lake. We could have sat there all day merely admiring the uninterrupted experience. (There was not a sign of chaos or pollution)
The countryside experience wouldn’t have been complete if we didn’t try their in house food prepared by the cook who was available on call. We tried the classic Indian breakfast of Poha and Methi Paratha with some curd to go. For meals, we mostly opted for our travel staple, dal-rice or Biryani. For evening tea, we decided to go with the flow of the cosy weather and cheat our diet with some bhajiyas.
While the staff stocks the groceries, it is best to share your meal requirements in advance In case of specificities. (Since they need to drive down to the market for groceries which is a good 20-25 mins ride for them.)
When getting there, we recommend contacting the host for directions, because you too are likely to get a little confused amidst the narrow roads.
The next time you’re planning a getaway experience away from the mainstream idea of a vacation, we recommend you check Beze Anantha for a countryside experience not too far away from Mumbai, Pune or Nasik city. To make a booking, you can connect with the host Mr. Salgunan Paniker at +91-8308699921, who is extremely hospitable or check them here.
P.S: To experience how beautiful it is to be in the middle of no where and detox yourself from the hustle of the city, visit this stone house in Nasik. Until next time, #StayCurious 🙂
